Public schools are commonly identified as government or state-run schools servicing either elementary or secondary studies. Most public schools require no tuition to pupils or students because all the annual payments and expenses are being shouldered by the country as part of its education program. There are also public schools in other countries which are not fully supported by the government.
In the United States public schools are supported by three levels namely federal, state and local. There is the presence of elected local school boards that determines the operational activities of public schools. Usually, the whole year round operational expenses of public schools in the US and Canada are derived from tax collected by the local government plus the support from the federal, and state. According to the record in America, it was the Massachusetts school in Dedham which was first school funded by the local government’s taxes.
Public schools usually give free tuition and all other school expenses to students from elementary up to high school. But public colleges and universities do require students to pay tuition very affordable level as compared to private schools. Public schools learning education is also dependent upon the workforce. Many public schools in other countries of the world logged behind in terms of mental prowess of their students. Independent surveys reported that the students in public schools are always outsmarted by the students in private schools. In this scenario, other developing countries in Asia such as Philippines, many pupils are slow learner and they cannot fully communicate with teachers in the English language. As a result, the students did not develop development of their minds. They failed in many mathematics and science exams conducted by the national government in the Philippines. Studying in many developed countries is also among the best options left for Filipinos.
Many students of the world could actually study online with the help of the information super highway. In fact, a Massachusetts doctor in Michigan has recently revealed that there are over three million students now enrolled in just one online class. Although the revelation is not impossible but it only goes to show that online schools are now starting to hit its mark in the education industry.
